Welcome to the Truth Collective.

Dear Truth Collective,

It’s Lauren.

Typically I share in more general terms but today I want to share my personal journey of what happens when we pay attention to our individual calling alongside of the collective.

The past few years of my life have been a metamorphosis, a return to my true self.

It is not a coincidence that my personal journey of self discovery coincided with the needs of people and organizations engaging with our work at DesignEd. When I started this company, it was because I had a longing to change how teachers saw themselves. At the time, I had no idea our work would go beyond the education system and that businesses from various sectors, small and large, would knock on our door in need of our work too.

Over the past two years, DesignEd laid the groundwork for guiding people to their true north as they discovered their personal and collective vision and values. We cultivated the space and skill set for courageous conversations to transform work culture. However, our work also revealed what gets in the way of real change -- our reluctance to discover our authentic selves and embark on the road of self discovery.

I would sit in board rooms, conference rooms, and one-on-one coaching sessions all to realize we weren’t in the practice of questioning, dreaming, and experimenting with “What if …?”  We weren’t in the practice of taking off our work masks and sharing our true thoughts, questions, and gifts. We weren’t in the practice of having open and honest conversations that make way for truly inclusive and connected communities. Yet people continued to knock on our door, knowing something needed to shift and wanting to shed the frustration and roadblocks to a better way of life and work.

There really is only one way forward. To institute the change we desire for ourselves and our communities both at home and at work, we must go within. We must reveal our truth and create from that place. This is how we are truly seen and known. This is how we create communities of belonging. Our self work is the work.

This understanding revealed a need for DesignEd to change too. We needed a new name. Something that better told our story of what we do on a daily basis and why we do it. From there, Truth Collective™ was born. It feels right. It is where we are meant to be. It is part of our metamorphosis story.

Truth Collective™ is about transformation. It’s the willingness to reveal who we are, to filter through what has gotten in the way and blocked us from living and speaking our truth, and to create new ways of being and doing.

Truth Collective™ invites you on the journey of what matters most. We are the creators of our lives. Our homes. Our jobs. We simply need to rediscover ourselves as individuals and as a collective.

Welcome to Truth Collective™.
